Machinery VMQ Rubber Seals are hygroscopic and can act as isolation. Water resistance, but poor resistance to water vapor, pressure is not recommended to exceed 50psi. Compatible with most oils, chemicals and solvents. Generally, silicone rubber has good acid and alkaline resistance, good resistance to polar solvents, and is not resistant to alkane hydrogen and aromatic oil products. Machinery VMQ Rubber Seals are not recommended for most concentrated solvents, oils, concentrated acids, and diluted caustic soda solutions. Special silicone rubber also has radiation resistance, fire resistance, oil resistance and other properties. It has low tensile strength and weak wear resistance, and is generally not used for dynamic sealing.
